Department of Animal Taxonomy and Ecology

The Department of Animal Taxonomy and Ecology conducts research on the systematics, biodiversity and ecology of small invertebrates in different regions of the world. We collaborate with numerous scientific centres; we have extensive collections of invertebrates, mainly mites (Acari) from various groups. The didactic classes – both laboratory and field – conducted by the staff of our Department include a number of subjects in zoology and ecology.
